Exploring the Afterlife Through Printmaking.
I received my BFA from Herron School of Art + Design at IUPUI in 2017. My specialization was in Printmaking with a minor in Art History. I focused my Art History minor on studying and analyzing how to view contemporary and pop cultural imagery.
I studied all of this because at the time, art (or something art-related) was what I could see myself doing. I was at least partially correct in my thinking, since I found my way into design.
My art predominantly explores the mysteries of the afterlife, and contains many religious and spiritual themes. Inspired by classic Vanitas artwork, I incorporate many layers of symbolism that express the multi-faceted nature of the belief in life after death.
